Aluminum-polyester foil mylar is based on metal aluminum foil, laminated with polyester tape (generally PET PP, etc.) after gluing on the back of the foil. Mostly the base aluminum foil thickness is 7μm and 9μm, but recently 4μm is also increasing with the trend of small and thin products in the electronics industry. Aluminum foil mylar tape is mainly used in the interference screen of communication cables.

Because of its excellent conductivity, shielding effectiveness and corrosion resistance, aluminum-pet foil mylar can meet the requirements of various ranges, and the shielding range is mainly in the range of 100K-3GHz. The hot-melt aluminum foil mylar is coated with a layer of hot-melt adhesive on the side where the aluminum foil contacts the cable. In the case of high-temperature preheating, the hot-melt adhesive can be tightly wrapped with the cable core, which has the cable shielding performance. Ordinary aluminum foil is not sticky, but is simply wrapped on the cable core insulation, and the shielding performance of the cable is poor.
